Michal Gottlieb, born and raised in Israel.

Multidisciplinary artist. Leave and create in Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv.

In the past decade, with a great deal of passion, I have sculpted, photographed and mainly painted with oil paint on wood.

I have taken the attitude of limitless horizons with my work and studies.

I studied In NYC's New York school Of Visual Arts. In Israel, I was granted the opportunity to study in private master classes with artists such as Aram Gershuni,

 Ilya Gefter and Micha Seth.

My works have been displayed at a variety of galleries. Amongst others, the Jaffa Port gallery, Hapoalim Bank yearly shows and the secret postcard project of Fresh Paint Art fair.

In addition, In the same passionate way, I have been Commissioned to paint and have had my work appear in private, public and commercial spaces.

I have had a well-travelled life map, restless, dreaming and always searching.

 This has reconnected me to my art which I chose to abandon during my adolescence years.

As I rediscovered it, I keep it closer, where my heart is.

My love for wondering and travelling, touched by visual memories, my photos, is finding its way to my paintings on wood.

The wood, my canvas, is gathered from construction sites and alongside roads. It is Run over, scratched and damaged, full of life and history and a unique story to tell by itself.

In my personal gallery, My Visual Road Map, one can find still life, nature and landscapes paintings alongside portraits of people, family and strangers who touched me and thus, were woven into my artistic world.

Black and white, nostalgic, family photos come back to life with a touch of color and the feeling of middle road between past and present time. As well as, Wild African animals in their yearly roaming in the savannas alongside local Kfar Yehoshua's lovely cows with their tender, romantic human expression.

This is my life's diary.

Totally personal as are my paintings.

The "entirety" of the unknown becomes a possibility. One of many choices asking to be told.

And if, too many of times, I have felt an outsider, not being able to find my place, that place is now found.

I realized that Art, with its many hues, comes to mark something, an emotion and motion, to wake us up from within.

That is all.

And this is my starting point.
